CommonsMC Network

The Economy

A unified player-driven economy across all CommonsMC servers. Buy, sell, trade, and build your empire — the market is yours to shape.

🌿 Commons Survival ☁️ Skyblock ⚔️ Citadel Factions

How It Works

One system. Three worlds.

The CommonsMC economy is entirely player-driven. The server sets a baseline floor price for every item — but the real market is shaped by you. Supply and demand dictate true value. Rare items are worth what players will pay for them. There's always a minimum price, but the community drives everything above it.

Getting Started

Your first coins.

01

Start with 500 Coins

Every new player starts with 500 coins in their balance. Use this to buy starter supplies from other players or the market while you get established. Check your balance anytime with /balance.

02

Sell Items to the Server

The fastest way to earn coins is selling items directly to the server at floor prices. Hold an item and type /sell hand, or sell your entire inventory with /sell all. Prefer a GUI? Use /shop to browse by category. Floor prices are the guaranteed minimum — player shops often pay more.

03

Buy & Sell at Player Shops

Player shops offer better prices than the server floor. Visit the Market Hub at spawn to browse player-run shops. Right-click a shop chest to buy, left-click to sell. Prices are set by players — the market decides real value.

04

Open Your Own Shop

Set up a shop anywhere — at your base, in the market hub, or anywhere in the world. Place a chest, left-click it with the item you want to sell, type your price in chat, and your shop is live instantly. No complicated sign formatting needed.

05

Trade with Players Directly

Prefer direct deals? Use /pay <player> <amount> to send coins to any player. Great for private trades, commissions, or tipping a builder for their work.

Server Floor Prices

Quick selling.

Floor prices are the minimum guaranteed value for every item. The server will always buy at these prices — but remember, player shops often offer significantly more. Use /sell as a safety net, not your primary income strategy.

💰 Sell What You're Holding

Hold the item in your hand and run:

/sell hand
/sell hand [amount]

Sells the item in your main hand. Add an amount to sell a specific quantity.

🎒 Sell Your Whole Inventory

Dump your whole inventory at once:

/sell all
/sell inventory

Sells every sellable item in your inventory at floor prices. Great after a mining session.

🔍 Check Item Value

Not sure what something is worth?

/worth
/worth [item name]

Shows the server floor price for the item in your hand or by name.

💵 Check Your Balance

See how many coins you have:

/balance
/bal [player]

Check your own balance or look up another player's balance.

Server Shop

The admin shop.

The server runs a full GUI shop accessible with /shop. Browse 13 categories, sell items at floor prices, or buy anything the player market doesn't have. Admin shop buy prices are 2.5× the floor by design — player shops will almost always beat them. Use /shop as your fallback, not your first stop.

Dynamic pricing active on Farming & some categories — prices shift with server supply & demand.
🔒 Buy-only items (enchanted books, beacons, spawners) cannot be sold back to the server.

Price Reference

Server floor prices.

These are floor prices — the minimum the server will pay. Player shops set their own prices above the floor. Rare items especially will be worth far more on the open market.

Player Shops

Open your own shop.

Shops can be placed anywhere in the world — at your base, in the market hub, or anywhere you can place a chest. The Market Hub at spawn is just a central guaranteed location for buyers to find goods easily.

1
Place a chest anywhere you want your shop to be. Inside the market hub or at your own base — your choice.
2
Hold the item you want to sell in your hand.
3
Left-click the chest while holding the item. A chat prompt will appear.
4
Type your price in chat. This is the price per item players will pay to buy from your shop.
5
Stock your chest with the item. Your shop is now live — players can right-click to buy!
6
Collect your earnings — coins are automatically added to your balance when someone buys from your shop.

Central Markets

The Market Hub.

🏪

What is the Market Hub?

Each server has a central Market Hub located at spawn — a dedicated area where players can rent a stall and set up a permanent shop in a busy, high-traffic location.

The Market Hub guarantees buyers can always find a place to shop, even if they don't know any individual player shops.

  • Located at /warp market
  • High traffic — near spawn
  • Guaranteed stall assignment
  • Admin-claimed and protected
  • One stall per player
🏠

Private Shops

Don't want a stall? No problem. You can set up a shop anywhere in the world — at your base, inside your claim, wherever you like.

Private shops are great for selling bulk resources from your farm or base without leaving your territory.

  • Place anywhere in the world
  • Inside your own claimed land
  • No stall limit for private shops
  • Set your own prices freely
  • Accessible by any player who visits

Market Rules
